Current Circumstances

I’m on a roll! This Christmas cardholder was by request by my daughter. She wanted something with a vintage feel, so I went with subdued colors on the outside and fun paper on the inside. I fussy-cut the image on the front cover, which is what is printed on the reverse side of the background paper. I dove into her stash of Washi tape and decided on the red pin-striped pattern, I love it. I gave the tape and reinforcers a coat of Mod Podge Hard Coat so they won’t curl up with use.

For the inside-front I broke open a pack of pretty paper pockets that will hold a lot of extras, like those letters people bore us with use to update us on their lives and those of their family. The back pocket is a library pouch using a piece of the reverse side of the toy paper to fancy it up.

The beauty of this type of cardholder is that the rings can be replaced with larger or smaller ones as you go along. More details about the making of this on my Flickr.
